England vs. Bangladesh: Moeen Ali’s ‘FIVE’ Lackluster Tamim’s Early Success (Bangladesh, Other Countries)

Latest Sport News » : In spite of getting a ‘bang on’ of a start on Day 1 against England in the second test, Bangladesh batting lineup succumbed early on a meager score. The toil put up by opener Tamim Iqbal showed no worth as the rest of the batsmen were in too hurry to depart. In reply to this, English batsmen too, got a dumb start early on but with hope to do better the next day. The toss was won by the hosts Bangladesh as skipper Mushfiqur Rahim elected to bat first. Following this, Bangladesh lost a wicket early on at a team score of only 1 run. It was then, that the opener Tamim Iqbal and Mominul Haque took charge and started scoring freely off the English bowling attack. Together they put up a spectacular stand of 170 runs with a healthy run rate of over 4 runs. Tamim played a brilliant 104 run inning that came off 137 balls and consisted of 12 fours. Mominul Haque on the other side backed him well with an innings of 66 runs off 111 deliveries, which also consisted of 10 fours. But as soon as these two wickets went down for the Bangladesh, there was a sudden flurry of wickets with batsmen coming in and going out in a trice. Their worse state could be devised from the fact that 7 batsmen of the lineup could not even reach to the double figures.
